The Department of Physics was established in 1927. Over the years, it has developed a well-established laboratory for the under-graduate courses. It has started the Honours in Physics Course from 2002. The faculty members of this department are involved in active research in the various fields of contemporary theoretical and experimental physics, and have been collaborating with different national / foreign research laboratories.
